You are a prism
through which light refracts
This line from the film about Louis Wain stays with me at work. Because to me photography is exactly that, to let the world pass through you and show it as it really is.
I was born and raised in Jelenia Góra. Before I picked up the camera for good, for years I danced ballroom, trained capoeira, finished English studies and a postgraduate course in translation. I worked in culture, and I was a teacher, a translator, a lecturer and a DJ.
None of those worlds went to waste, they came together into one way of seeing. Dance taught me rhythm and movement. Culture taught me sensitivity. Language gave me conversations with people from all over the world, from wedding couples to stage stars.
Today I photograph food, business, events, theatre and weddings. I work on Nikon as a member of Nikon Professional Services. And I do it without Photoshop and without AI, because I believe the strongest thing is what really happened.
In a single year I visited around 250 places in 77 cities and 6 countries. But the most important things still happen here, in the Karkonosze mountains, and in the people I meet with a camera in my hand.
